The Grammy Awards 2018 – Alicia Keys is still going strong on her no-makeup pledge
How no-makeup Alicia Keys gets her GLOW
From Alicia Keys no-makeup to Cyndi’s colourful unicorn hair and RiRi’s bold makeup at the after-party – there’s a look and statement for all at The Grammy’s 2018.
There were so many gorgeous looks at The Grammy’s this year. I’ve gone through them and picked out some of my faves (there were too many though). What I love is that the GLOW was everywhere. Beautiful skin, the best features enhanced and bold bold statements.
Hello glittery cat eyes! Love the sexy smokey Marc Jacobs eyes on Lady Gaga – Makeup Artist Sarah Tanno used Marc Jacobs makeup to create this look inspired by “a dark starry night”. Did you all see her Armani Prive Gown though? OMG! Talk about in true Gaga style!
Ri Ri will ALWAYS turn up the heat for us in her stunning purple smokey eye when she switched up her makeup at the after-party! Love this NEON shade!
And of course loving her Burgundy lippy here – Obv all FENTY BEAUTY !

From one extreme of Lady Gaga and Ri Ri to another – Alicia Keys looked just gorgeous in her literally no makeup look. I think the message is really powerful. We should love ourselves for who we are….. Thanks Alicia! I think more celebrities should follow in your footsteps. It’s been 2 years since Alicia went on her personal journey toward self-empowerment. Her Glow is incred and I found out through Allure.com that her makeup artist Dotti (well her no-makeup artist if you follow) said “Alicia gets regular facials, does acupuncture, and she eats healthy and exercises,” Well obv this is her secret – we all know that you are what you eat!
As found on Allure.com she wrote about why she didn’t want to wear makeup anymore: “Cause I don’t want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing.” Makeup artist Dotti said she often “preps Keys’s beautiful skin with a combination of an ice-cold jade roller, cucumber pulp, natural oils, and the occasional mask.”. Dotti said she “sometimes enhances Keys’s eyebrows with individual lashes, plays up her freckles with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, brightens her cheeks with Vita Liberata Self Tanning Anti-Age Serum, and cuts shine with Mally Ever Colour Poreless Face Definer Mattifier — but other than that, it’s all Alicia.” (Source from Allure.com)
So there we have it – Alicia Keys Beauty Secrets!
Well done to Alessia for her Grammy on Best New Artist! She looked so cute in her trouser and blazer combo and Converse. Her makeup was flawless – natural, glowing and smokey! But what about those Gold hoops earrings – I am wondering whether I can pull this off?
This has to be one of my FAVE looks at The Grammy’s – Glossy lid and classic makeup – you can never go wrong!!!! Rita’s makeup artist Kathy Jeung used Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Plum This Show – must get this!!
There’s been quite a bit of colour seen at The Grammy’s this year. Love the emerald green used on Hailee – reminds me of the Charlotte Tilbury palette in Rebel. I am totally obsessed with her skin though – so dreamy!!
“Girl’s just wanna have fun!” – Absolutely love that Cyndi is rocking her youth in her unicorn-inspired hair do and dolly coloured lips!!! Go guurrrrll!!
DJ Khaled and Asahd:
Absolutely in love with the matchy matchy Daddy and son red velvet outfit here so cute!!! And can we just talk about his groomed beard of perfection! That’s one epic beard!
All hale to the big B who took almost all the Grammy’s home with him haha!! Love his album MAGIC – and as for his hair – If only we could all have a ‘fro’ baby!!
Minimal blush toned makeup, gorgeously simple and all about those lashes!!! Hello lash envy!
If there is anyone who can pull off a dress like this it’s Heidi Klum – what do we think?
