The Brit Awards 2018 – Beauty & Fashion edit (and it’s fabulous)!
Hello 80's... shoulder pads, glitz, glamour and flawless glowey skin
Shoulder pads, glitz, glamour and flawless glowing skin – (not to mention Hailey Baldwin’s punchy blue lip). This was definitely a night of pure fabulous fashion statements. Scroll below to see some of my fave looks.
Dua Lipa made heads turn looking incredible in her Giambatissta Valli dress. She received 2 awards for best breakthrough artist and female solo artist. I think you will either love or hate this outrageously fabulous dress. I love it because it’s out there and a real show stopper – definitely in keeping with Fashion Week! Her makeup really complimented the dress to – subtle but gorgeous!
Stormzy took best male solo artist over Ed Sheeren and best British album of the year. His emotional and intense performance blew everyone away with his rap about Theresa May and the government’s response to Grenfell:
Moving on to style:
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing the fashion was last night???? There were some utter show stoppers and you just wanted to pause the telly and have a closer look. We have seen some incredible over the top fashion statements all over the runway from New York to London Fashion Week, so why not bring this to the Red Carpet. After all – there’s no point blending in when you have a moment like this!
Supporting The Times Up Movement has been a strong message that we saw at the Golden Globes, Baftas and the Grammy’s by wearing black. The Brit Awards did completely the opposite. We saw celebrities wearing or holding a white rose in a show of solidarity to portray peace and hope, however their style was bold, glitzy and a real show-stopper . I think that just holding a white rose created a really strong message on it’s own and enabled fashion to do the talking. After all it is Fashion Week right now – why would you ever wear black?!
Rita Ora in her Ralph and Russo dress – WOW. With such a statement dress the makeup really needs to be quite natural and it is as we can see here. Love the glossy lids too!
Camilla Cabello – so beautifully highlighted, muted lip and bronzed skin – think she looked gorgeous!!
Millie Bobby Brown’s perfectly styled bun and stunning poca dot Rodarte dress – all about he skin and that glow is so dreamy!!! Definitely a timeless look to re-create for any occasion.
Maya Jama – striking in her gorgeous glittery pink Blazer Dress from House of Holland – amazing lashes and flawless skin.
Caroline Flack in the gorgeous Temperley London dress. This is one of my fave dresses because you can wear this at any occasion dress it up or dress it down!! And I love the pop of colour on the lips – totally makes me feel that Summer is so close (even though it’s supposed to snow next week)!
Where is Caroline’s jacket from as I can’t find out where???
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in her Saint Lauren dress – hello shoulder pads and 80s. I am slightly in ore with her makeup – created by my gorgeous friend Kate…I must find a product breakdown as her skin is sooooo flawless! Can we also just appreciate the stunning detail on her shoes!!
Hailey Baldwin has completely turned the tables wearing a dark navy Fenty Lippy – punchy!! I love what makeup artist Vincent Oquendo created. Again we see flawless skin, nothing heavy. A beautiful dewey look. I am not sure I could pull of this lip colour what do you reckon? Totally in love with her skin – wow!
